Santa Fun Run in Henley-on-Thames

First time we are doing that sort of thing, a fun run for Christmas for a charity. About 2.5 miles around the Henley-on-Thames train station. Oscar ran with me, and Alana with Jess. I was again very impressed by Oscar as he managed to run the whole way without stopping and at a very good pace... Alana managed to run, walk the whole way as well...

Istanbul EADV Conference

I had the chance to travel to Istanbul for the first time. What a surprise. This city is amazing. Buzzing, beautiful, interesting and a real feeling of being welcomed by the people I talked to. As always when travelling for a conference, I had to go very early in the morning (before the start of the day) or late at the end of the conference, but I will have to come back with the rest of the family to enjoy again this amazing city.

Week-end at Hill Head

Great long week-end at the Waterhouse in Hill Head by the sea. It is always such a pleasure to see Thomas, Amelia, Richard and Abby. This time, we also had Vicky with us. We had the pleasure to go sea kayaking, to go to Titchfield Nature Reserve for a Moth evening with the experts while watching the Red Arrows and finally we spent the next day in Portmsouth at the History Shipyard to visit the Warrior. Great week-end...

Beaconsfield - Bekonscot Village Model and Greys Court

Jess was in Cambridge for Becky's hen week-end and I decided to take Alana and Oscar to the Village Model in Beaconsfield. Arriving there, we met with Jo and Brian... That was a great surprise to spend the day with them. It rained quite a lot, so after being very wet, we went back home before heading to Greys Court to an ice-cream. A great day in charge and a lot of fun with Alana and Oscar.

A week holidays at La Plagne

What a great week skiing. We booked a week with an organisation called Mark Warner to make sure that we add plenty of time for skiing. What a great week we had. The snow was fantastic and the nannies from the hotel were fantastic. Alana and Oscar made so much progress on their skis, this was amazing. We had plenty of time to go skiing and I managed, sadly to damage my left knee. Last ride, I ruptured a ligament on my knee. Not good but hopefully I will be able to recover for next year.

Trail in the woods around Cliveden

Cliveden is just a great place to go with Alana and Oscar for a bit of fun and for a bit of food. The park around the magnificent house and garden is huge and they organised a nature trail in the woods. Perfect conditions with a bit of sunshine and cool temperature for a lot of fun. I just loved to see Alana and Oscar playing together, exploring the woods and the stuffs around... Great day and what best that an ice-cream in winter...

The game was to find 6 different wellies painted with different motives and to draw them on a piece of paper. What a great idea to make Alana and Oscar walking like mad around the woods and the garden. Spring is coming and I can't wait for the end of this long winter...

GoPro 3km of fun with Oscar

What a great day in the cold and under the rain. We, Oscar and me, went in Christmas Common not far from home for a 3km orienteering race for the first time. That was fun (and wet) but Oscar managed extremely well and we finished 4th... out of seven.

Entirely filmed with my new GoPro Hero3 Black at 47.96 fps in Protune and very quickly edited in Premiere Pro CS6.

A year in my life

Not easy to put together different sequences filmed in HD during the whole year (2012). Everytime I am taking some photos, I am also trying to capture a few good sequences on film. The whole film has been captured on the canon 5D mkII with various Lenses but all at 23.976, using the cinestyle space. The whole film has been edited then on Premiere Pro CS6 with After Effects.

Hills near Wallingford

Excellent short walk on hills just outside Wallingford not far from home. A very nice, but cold and windy day for a walk with Alana and Oscar. Great view point as well to observe the important flooding of the River Thames in the region.
